Heating Installation & Replacement
The worst time to shop for a furnace is the night the old one dies. If yours is getting on in years, needs a repair most winters or leaves the back bedrooms cold, it’s worth pricing a replacement while you still have heat and time to compare. A new furnace should be sized from a heat-loss calculation for your house, not copied from the label on the old one, and the venting, gas supply and return air all need to suit the new equipment.
Every estimate is free and lays out a few options, from standard to high-efficiency condensing models, with the price for each. We remove the old unit, install and vent the new one, and test combustion and temperature rise. Furnace installs are handled by our St. George & Hurricane team, with financing available.
Time to Replace?
One of these is a warning. Two or three together usually settle the question.
Furnaces in this range are near the end of a typical service life.
Ignitors, boards and motors failing one after another.
A crack can let combustion gases into the airstream and is rarely worth fixing.
Gas or electric costs climbing while the thermostat stays put.
Cold corners and long run times on the coldest nights.
An old blower and loose cabinet can stir up more dust than they move heat.
What We Install
A new furnace only performs as well as its venting, gas supply and controls.
How It Works
A standard swap usually takes a day.
We look at the furnace, venting, ducts and the rooms it serves.
Compare models and prices, and financing if you want it.
Old unit out, new unit set, gas, power and venting connected.
We measure temperature rise and combustion, then walk you through it.

Maintenance Membership
Seasonal checkups for every system in your home.
Seasonal checkups catch small problems before they become emergencies — and keep your systems running efficiently all year.
Many last fifteen to twenty years with yearly service, and less when they’re skipped. Dust, long heating seasons and short cycling from an oversized unit all shorten that. Age alone isn’t a reason to replace, but it’s a good reason to start pricing options before a breakdown forces the decision.
It depends on how long and how hard your furnace runs. On the higher, colder ground around Cedar City, a condensing furnace that wastes less heat up the flue can pay back its extra cost. Where winters are short and mild, as they are in St. George, a standard model may be the better value. We’ll show you both prices so you can weigh it.
Yes. Financing is available on new heating equipment, and your estimate can show the monthly figure for each option. After the install, the maintenance plan keeps yearly tune-ups on the calendar so the new furnace stays efficient. Mention it when you schedule your free estimate.
For part of the house, sometimes. A ductless mini-split heats and cools from one system, which suits a casita, an addition or a room the furnace never quite reaches, and it can work alongside a gas furnace that carries the rest of the home. Read about ductless mini-splits.
Our St. George team installs and replaces furnaces across Washington and Iron counties, including Hurricane. For a home heated by hot water, Durango installs boilers and radiant systems; see boilers. Every furnace we fit is sized for its home, from mild desert winters in St. George to colder nights around Cedar City.
