Drain Cleaning at Element
Every drain in a house carries something that wants to stick: grease and coffee grounds in the kitchen, hair and soap in the bath, lint in the laundry line. Add hard water, which all four of our regions have, and mineral scale gives that debris a rough surface to grab. A drain that slowed over months rarely fixes itself, and store-bought chemicals tend to open a narrow channel rather than clean the pipe.
Our plumbers match the tool to the blockage. A cable handles most fixture clogs. Repeat or whole-house backups get a closer look, often with a camera, so we know whether it’s buildup, roots or a broken section of pipe. Where scale or grease coats the full pipe wall, hydro jetting scours it clean. If the line itself has failed, we’ll show you and explain sewer line repair before any work begins.
Symptom Check
Most clogs give some warning before they back up, and these are the ones worth acting on.
The sink empties eventually, but only after you’ve walked away and come back.
Bubbling in one fixture while another drains points to a blocked or poorly vented line.
The bowl rises toward the rim when you flush, or when the shower runs.
Sour or sewer odor from a drain that returns even after you clean the fixture.
The same drain stops up every few weeks, whatever you pour down it.
Water or waste showing up in a basement, garage or laundry floor drain.
Drains We Clear
Different drains clog for different reasons, so each one gets its own approach.
How It Works
Here’s what a drain call looks like from your side.
Call or book online and say which fixtures are affected. We take calls 24/7.
We run water at each fixture to learn if the clog is local or down the main.
You get the price and your options up front. Nothing starts until you say yes.
We open the line, run every affected fixture and leave the area clean.

All of them. Choose your area for local details and offers: Flagstaff, Durango, St. George and Hurricane, or Jackson Hole and Star Valley. Each team handles everything from one slow sink to a whole-house backup, and each takes calls around the clock.
It depends on what’s in the pipe. A cable cuts through hair, wipes and soft clogs quickly. When grease, scale or roots line the whole pipe wall, a cable only opens a channel and the clog returns. That’s where hydro jetting earns its place. We’ll tell you which your drain needs, and why, before we start.
It contributes. Calcium and magnesium slowly coat the inside of drain pipes, and that rough layer catches grease, hair and soap far more easily than clean pipe does. Homes in all four of our regions deal with it. A water softener slows new buildup; a drain cleaning removes what’s already there.
The $83 drain clearing offer covers clearing one accessible drain line through an existing cleanout or fixture, and if we can’t clear it, you don’t pay. It’s valid at all four locations for residential customers. Mention it when you schedule.
If a few honest tries with a plunger haven’t moved the clog, or more than one fixture is slow at the same time, it’s time to call. Several slow drains together usually mean the blockage sits in a shared line rather than a single trap, and forcing it can push water out of another fixture.
