Reverse Osmosis in St. George
Plenty of St. George households haul cases of bottled water home every week because the tap tastes like minerals and chlorine. Some local sources also carry naturally occurring arsenic and other trace elements from the region’s rock, at levels within legal limits but higher than many families want in their glass. A softener or a carbon filter won’t touch most of that. Reverse osmosis will.
An RO system pushes water through a membrane fine enough to hold back dissolved minerals, metals and salts. Ours start with sediment and carbon stages that protect the membrane, then finish with a polishing filter and a small storage tank feeding a dedicated faucet. We size the unit for your household, connect it under the sink or to the fridge line, pressure test it and check the water it produces. If hardness is also a problem, pairing RO with a water softener helps the membrane last longer.
Symptom Check
Most families choose RO for one of these reasons.
A mineral, metallic or chlorine taste you notice in every glass.
Cases of plastic bottles that cost money and fill the recycling bin.
You’ve read about arsenic or other trace elements in local water.
White deposits building up inside the appliances you use daily.
Ice that comes out murky and leaves a film when it melts.
A trickle at the faucet usually means filters or a membrane are spent.
What We Do
Installation, upkeep and repair, plus systems that work with the rest of your water treatment.
How It Works

We check hardness and the dissolved solids coming from your tap.
We recommend a size and setup, with an upfront price.
We mount the system, add the faucet and connect the drain.

Seasonal checkups for every system in your home.
Seasonal checkups catch small problems before they become emergencies — and keep your systems running efficiently all year.
A good RO system reduces most dissolved solids: hardness minerals, salts and many metals, including arsenic, lead and chromium, along with nitrates and many other compounds. The carbon stages also take out chlorine taste and odor. Exactly how much depends on your water and the system, which is why we test before and after installation.
RO treats one faucet, so the rest of the house still gets hard water. Hardness also wears out RO membranes faster. In St. George, most homes with RO also have a softener: it protects the plumbing and appliances, and it helps the RO system last. Ask us about pairing it with a water softener.
Some water is used to flush away what the membrane holds back, and that goes down the drain. Newer systems are more efficient than older designs, and feeding them soft water helps. In a desert town that counts every drop, we size the system for your actual drinking and cooking needs rather than oversizing it.
Pre- and post-filters are usually changed about once a year, and the membrane less often, but your water and usage set the real schedule. A slow faucet or a change in taste is a sign it’s due. We service most systems, whether we installed them or not, and our maintenance plan is worth a look for the rest of your home.
Yes. We install and service RO systems in Hurricane, Ivins, Washington, Santa Clara, Bloomington, Little Valley, Springdale and Cedar City. If your home is on a private well, we’ll test for the issues wells commonly carry before choosing the pre-treatment stages.
