Repiping in Jackson
Some Jackson homes reach the point where every repair uncovers the next one. Older cabins and houses may still carry galvanized steel that rusts from the inside out, or gray polybutylene from the 1980s and early ’90s that’s known for failing without warning. Copper can develop pinholes as it ages. Add lines that were run through exterior walls or unheated spaces, and you get a house that springs a new leak every winter.
Repiping replaces the supply lines, either throughout the house or only in the runs that keep failing. It’s also the best chance to fix the layout: we can move pipe out of cold outside walls and crawlspaces and into heated space, which cuts the odds of another freeze. Most homes here suit PEX, which flexes more than rigid pipe, and copper is available where you prefer it. We plan access to keep wall openings small, pressure-test everything before it’s closed up, and offer financing for larger projects. Not sure you need it yet? Start with a plumbing inspection.
Is It Time?
If more than one of these applies to your home, it’s worth pricing a repipe.
New pinholes popping up in new places, season after season.
Materials with a track record of corrosion or sudden failure.
A run in an outside wall that splits whenever the cold settles in.
Flow dropping over the years as old pipe narrows inside.
Rust or a metal taste that clears once the tap runs a while.
A remodel is the easiest, least disruptive time to replace pipe.
What We Do
One run or the whole house, planned so you know what to expect each day.
How It Works
Most homes keep water service at the end of each work day.
We look at the existing pipe, its routes and where access is easiest.
Material, routing, openings and price laid out for your approval.
Old pipe abandoned or removed, new lines run and connected.
Every line tested under pressure before walls are closed.

Seasonal checkups for every system in your home.
Seasonal checkups catch small problems before they become emergencies — and keep your systems running efficiently all year.
Look where pipe is exposed, such as near the water heater, under sinks or in an unfinished basement. Dull gray threaded steel is likely galvanized, flexible gray plastic may be polybutylene, and reddish metal is copper. If you can’t tell, we’ll identify it during a visit or a plumbing inspection.
PEX can stretch a little as water freezes, so it’s more forgiving than copper or steel, but it can still split and its fittings can still fail. The real protection is keeping lines in heated space and the house warm. That’s why we reroute cold runs whenever a repipe gives us the chance.
Usually not. On most jobs we restore water at the end of each day, and smaller partial repipes are often finished quickly. We’ll give you a realistic schedule up front so you can plan around guests, work and any time the house will be empty.
If one area keeps failing and the rest of the pipe is sound, a partial repipe may be all you need. If the material itself is the problem, like galvanized or polybutylene, replacing it all usually costs less than chasing leaks. We price both. For a single leak, leak repair may be enough.
Repiping qualifies for $50 off any plumbing service in Jackson. Bring it up when you schedule the estimate. For whole-house projects, ask about financing so the cost can be paid over time instead of all at once. The estimate is free and shows the full scope before you commit.
