Faucets & Fixtures in St. George
Faucets, sinks, showers and disposals get more use than anything else in the house, and in St. George they also get a steady coat of mineral scale. Aerators crust over, cartridges stiffen and start to drip, showerheads spray sideways and the valve under the sink won’t turn when you need it. A leak in a sink cabinet can quietly ruin the particleboard long before you see water on the floor.
Our plumbers repair what can be repaired and install new fixtures when it’s time for an upgrade. That includes replacing cartridges, seats and O-rings, swapping a worn kitchen faucet for a pull-down model, setting a new sink with fresh drain and supply connections, or replacing a jammed or leaking disposal. If the drain itself is slow, we’ll clear it or route you to drain cleaning. You see the price for each option before we start.
Symptom Check
Small fixture problems tend to grow, especially with hard water.
Worn cartridge or seat letting water through when it’s off.
Scale-clogged aerators and showerheads that spray unevenly.
Swollen cabinet floor from a leaking drain or supply connection.
A motor that hums without spinning or a unit leaking underneath.
A mixing valve that can’t hold a steady temperature.
Handles that grind and shutoffs frozen open with mineral buildup.

Hard water grit wears the new cartridge or washer the same way it wore the old one. Quality parts last longer, but the real fix is the water. A water softener keeps minerals from scoring seals and crusting aerators, so every fixture in the house lasts longer between repairs.
Yes. We’re happy to install fixtures you’ve picked out. We’ll check that it suits your sink and existing connections, replace worn supply lines and shutoffs while we’re there, and test everything for leaks. If something isn’t compatible, we’ll explain why before we begin.
Turn it off at the switch first. A hum usually means something is jammed between the plate and the housing. Many disposals have a reset button underneath, and some have a hex socket at the bottom to free the plate. If that doesn’t work, or it’s leaking, we can repair or replace it.
Unscrew them and soak them in white vinegar for a few hours, then rinse and scrub the openings with an old toothbrush. In St. George you may need to repeat this every few months. If the scale keeps coming back that fast, it’s worth looking at water treatment for the whole house.
Yes. We repair the plumbing that caused the leak and check the cabinet and floor for soft spots so you know the extent of the damage. Cabinet and flooring repair falls outside our work, but we’ll document what we find. Every plumbing repair we make is backed by our full service guarantee.
