Heating & Air
AC and furnace repair for canyon homes that see hot summers and cold nights.
Heating & Air detailsHome service at the gate of Zion
Springdale homes get the same licensed plumbing, cooling, heating and electrical help as the rest of Southern Utah, from our nearby Hurricane office.
Springdale is a small town with a big front yard: Zion National Park starts at the edge of town, with The Watchman on one side and Mount Kinesava on the other. With only a few hundred homes, the town has few trades of its own, and a broken water heater or a dead AC in July can’t wait for a contractor to come up from the city whenever it suits them. We make the trip.
Springdale is part of our Southern Utah service area, and our office in Hurricane puts a team on the same highway into Zion Canyon. We handle heating and air, plumbing, water heaters, drains, water treatment and electrical. You’ll get a clear price to approve before we start, and we answer 24/7.

Electrical detailsLocal knowledge: Springdale
Springdale sits at about 3,855 feet in Zion Canyon, where the North Fork of the Virgin River runs through town on its way out of the park. It’s a transition zone between the Colorado Plateau, the Great Basin and the Mojave Desert, and the weather reflects all three. Summers are hot. Winter nights in the canyon get cold, and the sandstone walls keep some streets in shade for much of a short winter day.
That mix asks a lot of a house. An air conditioner works hard from late spring into fall, then a furnace takes over when the canyon cools off. Pipes in exterior walls, crawl spaces or outbuildings can freeze on the coldest nights, something homeowners down in St. George rarely worry about. Insulating exposed lines and protecting hose bibs before winter is worth the effort.
Springdale is small. It had 514 residents at the 2020 census and 327 housing units in 2010, and it was settled in 1862 by families who had been flooded out of nearby Northrop. With so few homes, the nearest replacement part or contractor is often a drive away, so we come prepared and try to finish on the first visit.
The canyon is also geologically active. The 1992 St. George earthquake triggered a landslide in Springdale’s Balanced Rock Hills area that covered part of State Route 9, and damaged utilities in town. It’s a reminder to know where your water and gas shutoffs are, and to have a plumber check for leaks after any significant shaking.
Like the rest of Southern Utah, Springdale’s water can be hard, and scale shortens the life of water heaters and fixtures. We test before recommending treatment.

Yes. Springdale is part of our Southern Utah service area, and our Hurricane office is on the same route up to Zion Canyon. Call any time, 24/7, and we’ll give you an arrival window when you book. The technician arrives with common parts so most jobs finish in one visit.
They can. Canyon nights get colder than the low desert, and lines in exterior walls, crawl spaces or sheds are most at risk. Insulate exposed pipe, disconnect hoses and keep the heat on if you’re away. If a line does split, shut the main and call us for emergency plumbing.
We can. Many Springdale homes need both a reliable AC and a furnace that starts on the first cold night. A seasonal check covers both, and our technicians are trained in-house on each, so one visit can take care of the whole system. Ask about heating maintenance before winter.
Yes. We test well water and recommend filtration or softening to match what we find, whether that’s hardness, sediment or taste. We also service pressure tanks and the plumbing that connects them to the house. See well water solutions.
If you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas company from outside. Otherwise, look for water stains, listen for running water when nothing is on and check the water heater’s strapping and venting. If anything looks wrong, shut off the main and call us to inspect the lines.
