Air Conditioner Repair
An air conditioner rarely quits without warning. It starts with a longer run time, a hum from the condenser that wasn’t there last summer, a vent that feels cool instead of cold. Most failures come down to a handful of parts: a weak capacitor, a burned contactor, a refrigerant leak, a clogged condensate line or a coil iced over from poor airflow. Finding which one is the whole job, and guessing gets expensive.
Our technicians test the electrical side, airflow and refrigerant pressures before they recommend anything, then give you a price to approve. Cooling repair is handled by our St. George & Hurricane team across Southern Utah, where a unit may run for months in 110° heat.
Symptom Check
Some problems are a filter or a breaker. These usually mean a part inside the system has failed.
The fan runs, but the air coming out is barely cooler than the room.
Frost on the copper line or indoor coil points to low refrigerant or blocked airflow.
The system starts and stops every few minutes without reaching the set temperature.
A hum from the condenser or a scrape from the blower means a motor or capacitor is struggling.
A plugged condensate line backs water into the pan and onto the floor.
Repeated trips often mean a failing compressor or a shorted part. Leave it off and call.
What We Repair
Central air systems, outdoor and indoor, plus the controls that run them.
How It Works
Four steps, and you approve the price at step three.
Describe the noise, the leak or the warm air, and when it started.
We check the thermostat, electrical parts, airflow and refrigerant pressures.
You get the cause, the options and the price before any work begins.
We fix it, then measure the air at the vents to confirm it’s cooling.

Maintenance Membership
Seasonal checkups for every system in your home.
Seasonal checkups catch small problems before they become emergencies — and keep your systems running efficiently all year.
The usual suspects are a dirty filter or coil, low refrigerant from a leak, a failed capacitor or a frozen indoor coil. Swap the filter and check the breaker first. If the air is still warm an hour later, switch the system off so any ice can thaw, then call for a diagnostic.
Age, refrigerant type and the size of the repair all matter. A young system with a failed capacitor is worth fixing. An older unit that needs a compressor, or one still running on R-22, is often better replaced. We’ll price both so you can compare, and you can read about AC installation and replacement.
Refrigerant doesn’t get used up. If the charge is low, the system is leaking, and topping it off only buys a few weeks. We find the leak, repair it, then charge the system to the manufacturer’s specification so it cools properly and the compressor isn’t strained.
AC repair is offered by our St. George team across Washington and Iron counties, including Hurricane. Our Durango location heats with boilers and radiant systems, so it doesn’t work on air conditioning, and Flagstaff and Jackson are plumbing teams. The St. George team answers around the clock.
Yes. $50 off any HVAC service applies to AC repair in St. George and Hurricane; mention it when you book. If the diagnosis shows the system is better replaced, financing can spread the cost of new equipment over time. Offers apply to residential customers, one per household.
