AC Installation & Replacement
A system that’s too big cools the house in short bursts, switches off before it pulls moisture from the air and wears out its compressor early. One that’s too small runs all afternoon and still loses ground. Both get installed every day because someone matched the old unit’s tonnage instead of measuring the home. We start with a load calculation that weighs square footage, insulation, windows and sun exposure, then check that the existing ducts can carry the airflow the new equipment needs.
From there you choose between a few matched options, with the price for each in writing. We remove the old unit, set the new one, charge it and test it before we leave. Installs are run by our St. George & Hurricane team, and financing is available.
Time to Replace?
A repair is often the right call. These are the signs it may not be.
Units past their middle teens lose efficiency and get harder to find parts for.
Money spent on yearly fixes could be going toward equipment that works.
Older systems built for R-22 are costly to recharge once they start leaking.
Summer bills keep rising even though the thermostat setting hasn’t changed.
Upstairs bedrooms or a far wing stay warm no matter how long it runs.
Box fans and window units in a house with ducts ready to use.
What We Install
Outdoor unit, indoor coil, air handler and controls, matched as one system.
How It Works
Most homes are switched over in a single day; we’ll tell you up front if yours needs longer.
We measure the home, look at the ducts and ask how each room feels now.
You compare a few sized options with written prices and financing terms.
Old equipment out, new equipment set, lines connected and the charge checked.
We test airflow and temperatures, then show you the thermostat and filter.

Maintenance Membership
Seasonal checkups for every system in your home.
Seasonal checkups catch small problems before they become emergencies — and keep your systems running efficiently all year.
Square footage alone won’t tell you. A load calculation accounts for insulation, window area, which way the house faces, ceiling height and how many people live there. Two homes of the same size can need different equipment, which is why we measure before we quote rather than copying the size of the old unit.
A straight swap of outdoor unit and indoor coil usually takes a day. An electrical upgrade or a new air handler can stretch it to two. You’ll get the timeline with your estimate, and nothing is ordered until you approve the price.
Yes. Financing is available for new cooling systems, and you can see the monthly figure next to each option on your estimate. Once it’s in, a maintenance plan keeps the coils clean and the warranty paperwork in order. Just ask when you book the estimate.
For homes with good ducts, central air is usually the simpler whole-house answer. For a cabin, an addition, a garage or an older house with no ducts at all, a ductless mini-split can cost less to put in and lets you control each room on its own.
Our St. George team installs air conditioning across Washington and Iron counties, including Hurricane. Element’s Durango and Jackson Hole locations don’t install cooling equipment. Every system is sized for its home, from long desert summers around St. George to the higher, colder ground around Cedar City.
