Faucets, Sinks & Fixtures

Fixtures that work like new again

Leaky faucets, cracked sinks, worn shower valves and dead disposals repaired, or replaced with fixtures you pick.

Faucets, Sinks & Fixtures

The parts of your plumbing you touch every day

Faucets, sinks and showers get used dozens of times a day, and hard water makes that wear show sooner. Scale grinds at cartridges and O-rings, crusts aerators and showerheads, and leaves a white ring around every drain. The result is a drip that won’t stop, a handle that’s stiff or loose, or a spray that splits in three directions. Under the sink, a slow leak at a supply line or drain joint can swell cabinet floors for months before anyone notices.

Our plumbers repair single-handle, two-handle, pull-down and wall-mount faucets, and replace sinks and garbage disposals. If you’re upgrading, we install the fixture you’ve chosen with new supply lines and test every connection under pressure. Fixture service is offered by our Flagstaff, Durango, St. George and Jackson teams. Hard water at the root of the problem? See water softeners.

  • Uneven Shower Temperature

Faucet and fixture questions

Is it worth repairing an older faucet?

Often, yes. Most drips come from a cartridge or washer that costs little to replace. If the faucet body is corroded, parts are no longer made, or you’re planning an update anyway, replacement can be the better value. We’ll tell you which way we’d go and why.

Can you install a faucet or sink I already bought?

Yes. We’ll check that it fits your sink or countertop and existing connections, install it with new supply lines and leak-test everything before we leave. If something about the existing plumbing needs changing to fit the new fixture, we’ll explain it and price it first.

Which locations offer faucet and fixture service?

All four Element teams handle faucet, sink, shower and disposal work: Flagstaff, Durango, St. George & Hurricane and Jackson. If the trouble is in the pipes behind the fixture, the same plumbers handle it as plumbing repair. Each location page lists the towns that team serves and its current offers.

Why do my faucets and showerheads keep clogging with white crust?

That crust is calcium and magnesium left behind as hard water evaporates. Soaking aerators in vinegar helps for a while, but the buildup returns. A whole-home water softener stops it at the source and protects the inside of your fixtures as well.

What can and can’t go down a garbage disposal?

Small food scraps with plenty of cold water are fine. Grease, fibrous peels, coffee grounds, pasta, rice and bones cause most jams and drain clogs. If the disposal hums but won’t turn, switch it off and keep your hands out of it. A jam we can clear is better than an injury.
