Most furnaces last 15 to 20 years. Start planning a replacement when yours is in that range and needs a major repair, when you’ve paid for repairs two winters running, when gas bills climb without a change in use, or when some rooms never get warm. A cracked heat exchanger is a firm yes: it can leak carbon monoxide into your home, and replacing the furnace is the safe fix.
A new high-efficiency furnace can cut fuel use noticeably compared with a 20-year-old unit, and replacement is a good time to rethink the system. At altitude, a furnace must be rated and set up for your elevation.
Furnace installation and replacement is offered by our St. George & Hurricane team. Furnace replacement isn’t offered in Flagstaff, Durango or Jackson. New systems can be financed.
