Built for mountain & desert homes
Frozen lines in Jackson and Flagstaff, hard water in St. George, high-altitude heaters in Durango — we know your climate.
Indoor Air Quality
Most homes recirculate the same air through the furnace and air conditioner all day, and whatever is in it goes around with it: fine dust that slips past a cheap filter, pollen, pet dander, smoke from a distant wildfire, fumes from paint and cleaning products. In a dry desert climate, low humidity adds static, scratchy throats and cracked skin. A plug-in air cleaner in one room barely touches any of it.
We start with a test that measures fine particles, volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide, humidity and airflow, then walk you through what the numbers mean. From there we can upgrade filtration, add a whole-home purifier or UV-C light inside the ductwork, balance humidity and install a monitor that keeps watch. Indoor air quality service is offered by our St. George & Hurricane team. For what comes out of the tap, see water filtration.
Symptom Check
If you feel better after leaving the house, the air inside is worth testing.
Sneezing, coughing or congestion that eases when you step outside.
A fresh film on furniture and vents almost as soon as you wipe it.
Static shocks, dry eyes, cracked skin and scratchy throats.
Odors that linger, especially when the system first turns on.
Wildfire haze outside and a smoky smell in the house.
Symptoms that can point to chemical fumes or poor ventilation.
What We Install
Each upgrade works through the heating and cooling system you already have.
How It Works
You see the numbers before we suggest any equipment.
Dust, allergies, odors, dryness or a specific worry like smoke.
We take readings in your living spaces and check the HVAC system.
We explain the results and price the fixes that address them.
Upgrades installed, airflow checked and readings compared.

Seasonal checkups for every system in your home.
Seasonal checkups catch small problems before they become emergencies — and keep your systems running efficiently all year.
Fine desert dust is light enough to ride in through door gaps, small cracks and leaky return ducts, then circulate every time the system runs. A thin filter lets much of it through. A tighter filter seal and a properly sized media filter usually make the biggest difference, and a test shows how much is reaching your rooms.
Yes. Smoke particles are very small, but a whole-home purifier or high-efficiency filter installed on the HVAC system can capture a large share of them as air circulates. Run the system fan continuously on smoky days and keep windows and doors closed to get the most from it.
It can if the filter is too restrictive for the blower or the filter slot is too small. That’s why we size filtration to the equipment, sometimes with a deeper media cabinet, and check airflow after installing it. A filter that chokes the system costs efficiency and can cause coils to freeze.
Roughly 30 to 50 percent is comfortable for most people and hard on dust mites and static. Desert homes often sit well below that in winter. A whole-home humidifier on the furnace adds moisture evenly, without the white mineral dust a tabletop unit leaves when filled with hard tap water; see water softeners for that problem.
Air quality testing and equipment are offered by our St. George team across Washington and Iron counties, including Hurricane. Testing always comes first, so nothing is installed until you’ve seen your own numbers.
