Consider repiping when you’re fixing leaks every few months, the water runs brown or rusty, pressure keeps falling, or the house still has the original galvanized steel or polybutylene supply pipe. Galvanized pipe corrodes from the inside and narrows over decades. Polybutylene, the gray plastic pipe common from the late 1970s to the mid-1990s, is prone to sudden failure at fittings.

A repipe replaces the supply lines throughout the house, usually with PEX or copper. Most homes take a few days, and we open only the walls and ceilings we need to and patch them afterward. It costs more than one repair but less than a string of them, plus the water damage that comes with each.

Whole-home repiping is offered by our Durango, St. George & Hurricane and Jackson teams. It isn’t offered in Flagstaff, but every location can repair and replace individual sections of failing pipe through plumbing repair: Flagstaff, Durango, St. George & Hurricane and Jackson. Larger projects can be financed.
